Client: Dr. Ewa Craven
Completion: Spring 2019
Completion of phase 1 of the conversion of a former workshop, stable block and house at Dardsley House, Brownedge Road, into a new home for Lostock Hall Medical Centre. The building is spacious and is conceived as a centre for the community. The first phase consisted of the tightly-budgetted conversion of part of the building to provide an entrance, waiting area and consulting rooms. Further rooms will be converted in the next phase to provide space for NHS and community activities. The building complex will eventually focus on the large garden. The interior features a new waiting area that can also be used for events. New light funnels have been constructed in the existing roof to make a calm and atmospheric interior.
